Gratitude is truly a state of mind. I also believe it is a state of energy and feeling. I take action to live in gratitude.
I start each new day with gratitude. As the morning sunshine peeks through my window, it nudges me to wake up naturally. I think thoughts of how grateful I am to have a rested body. I am fortunate to be able to follow my biorhythms and get my required sleep to regenerate my body properly.
My dream manager asks, “What do I want to remember from my dreamscape?” I write down any lessons that have come forth through dreams in my dream journal upon waking. I love to wake up organically. I get great insights at this time of day.
I feel ready for my new day. I am grateful for my morning rituals. I feel a bubble of gratitude surround me as I lounge in my bathtub. I feel pampered. My muscles are relaxed and warmed up for the day. I am proud of myself for taking such good care of my body.
I keep these thankful feelings with me throughout my day. Even when challenges occur, I try to see the bright side and feel gratitude for whatever blessings I discover.
When night falls, as I start to relax in bed, I think of all that I am grateful for from that day. I help myself to sleep by noticing how soft my pillow is. I continue to lull myself into a sleep state by saying: “I love my 100 percent Egyptian cotton sheets. My bed is the perfect softness. My covers are cozy”. Before you know it, I am fast asleep.
Today, I marvel at the magnificence of the life I have created by living in gratitude.
- If gratitude was a color, what would it be and why?
- What blessings has today brought to me?
- What can I do today to achieve and maintain an opulent state of gratitude?
